As soon as possible — ideally within 4–6 weeks of your wedding. The most damaging stains are invisible ones: champagne, white wine, clear soda, and sugary beverages leave no visible trace immediately but begin oxidizing right away. Within weeks they can start to yellow and brown. The sooner we treat them, the better the outcome for your gown.

Tell us everything you know: what stains are on it and what caused them, what beverages were at your wedding, any areas of concern, the gown's fabric composition if you know it, whether you want preservation packaging after cleaning, and your timeline. The more context you give us, the better we can care for your gown.

We have exceptional success with the most common bridal stains — red wine, champagne, grass, food, mud, and makeup. We cannot guarantee 100% removal of every stain in every circumstance. Very old set stains, or stains on certain fabric types, may not fully release. However, we will always be completely transparent with you about realistic expectations before we begin, and we never charge for a result that doesn't meet what we agreed on.

Yes — absolutely. This is one of the most important things for brides to understand. Champagne, white wine, clear soda, and similar beverages are invisible when fresh but contain sugars that will caramelize and turn yellow or brown over the months following your wedding. By the time you can see the stain, it has already bonded with the fabric. Clean your gown even if it looks spotless.

Most bridal gown cleaning takes 2–4 weeks, depending on the level of soiling and complexity of the gown. This timeline allows for proper stain treatment, careful cleaning, post-cleaning inspection, and finishing. If you also want preservation packaging, add a few additional days. Rush service is sometimes available — please ask.

We clean the entire gown, always. Spot-cleaning only is not appropriate for a wedding gown — it creates uneven cleaning and can cause tide marks. We address every stain individually with specific pre-treatment, but the full cleaning is applied throughout the entire gown.

Our bridal preservation package includes: a full professional cleaning of your gown, all stain treatment, hand-finishing, wrapping in acid-free tissue throughout, sealing in an oxygen-free environment, and packaging in an archival-grade acid-free preservation box with an inspection window. Your veil and accessories can be included for an additional charge.

We designed the inspection window specifically so you don't have to. Use the window to view your gown without opening the preservation seal. If you open the box, the oxygen-free environment is lost and the gown will begin aging normally. If you need to open it (to wear again, to show someone, etc.), contact us about re-preservation when you're done.

Store in a temperature-stable, humidity-controlled interior room. Never a garage, attic, or basement — temperature and humidity fluctuations accelerate deterioration even inside preservation packaging. Avoid direct sunlight. A closet shelf or under-bed storage in a living area is ideal. Keep the box flat and don't stack heavy items on top.

Yes — though the results may not be as complete as if you had brought it in sooner. We work on gowns of all ages and still achieve excellent results in many cases. Some very old stains may be permanent, but we always assess honestly and discuss what we can achieve before beginning. Better late than never — and we've seen remarkable transformations on gowns stored for 10, 20, even 30 years.
