The Right Fit Changes Everything

A Garment That Fits Properly
Looks and Feels Different

Off-the-rack clothing is designed for an average that doesn't match most people's bodies. A suit that fits in the shoulders but bags in the waist. A dress that works at the hips but pools at the hem. A perfectly chosen garment that simply doesn't sit right.

Our master tailors understand that fit is the difference between a garment you wear confidently and one that hangs in the closet. We bring decades of hands-on experience to every alteration — from the most straightforward hem to complex structural resizing.

We work on everyday clothing, designer pieces, bridal gowns, formalwear, uniforms, and vintage garments. If it can be altered, we can alter it.

Alteration Services

Every Alteration
Done with Precision

01

Hems & Length

The most common alteration — and one that makes an immediate, dramatic difference to how a garment looks. Done right, an invisible hem disappears into the fabric.

  • Dress & skirt hems
  • Trouser & jean hems
  • Sleeve length adjustment
  • Invisible hemming
  • Coat & jacket length
02

Sizing & Fit

Taking in or letting out garments to achieve a perfect body fit. This requires real skill — we restructure the garment, not just pinch it smaller.

  • Taking in waist & body
  • Letting out seams
  • Shoulder adjustment
  • Chest & bust reshaping
  • Hip & seat adjustment
03

Bridal Alterations

Wedding gowns require a unique level of expertise. We handle complex bridal alterations with the care that the most important dress of your life deserves.

  • Full gown sizing
  • Bustle installation
  • Strap & neckline adjustment
  • Corset & boning work
  • Train & hem finishing
04

Repairs & Mending

Extend the life of garments you love. We repair rips, re-stitch seams, replace broken zippers, reattach buttons, and restore damaged areas so they're invisible.

  • Invisible mending
  • Zipper replacement
  • Button replacement
  • Seam repairs
  • Lining replacement
05

Suit Tailoring

An off-the-rack suit tailored to your body is indistinguishable from bespoke. We work on both men's and women's suits to achieve a clean, sharp, custom fit.

  • Jacket suppression
  • Trouser tapering
  • Sleeve pitch & length
  • Collar adjustment
  • Full suit packages
06

Restyling

Give a beloved garment new life. We restyle vintage pieces, update silhouettes, convert sleeve lengths, and transform garments that don't fit current proportions.

  • Silhouette modernizing
  • Vintage garment updates
  • Sleeve conversion
  • Collar reshaping
  • Custom modifications

Your Wedding Gown
Fit to Perfection

Wedding gown alterations are among the most technically demanding work in tailoring. Bridal fabrics — silk, organza, lace, chiffon — require a practiced hand and deep experience to alter without distortion or damage.

Our bridal alteration service begins with a thorough consultation. We assess your gown, discuss every adjustment needed, and create a clear plan before we make a single cut. We do not rush bridal alterations — your gown deserves the time to be done perfectly.

We recommend scheduling your first bridal fitting as soon as possible — ideally 3–4 months before your wedding date to allow time for multiple fittings if needed.

Book 3–4 Months Early

Wedding gown alterations typically require 2–3 fittings. Early scheduling ensures we have the time to do it perfectly.

Full Consultation First

Every bridal alteration begins with a thorough fitting consultation where we map out all adjustments before any work begins.

Bustle & Train Work

We specialize in bustle installations — the critical alteration that allows you to move, dance, and enjoy your reception.

Beading & Lace Preserved

We work around embellishments with great care — preserving every bead, appliqué, and lace detail throughout the alteration process.

Alteration Questions

Frequently Asked
Alteration Questions

The most accurate way is to bring the garment in for a fitting — alterations are priced by the specific work required, which we can only fully assess in person. You're welcome to walk in, or contact us to schedule a fitting appointment. We can also provide rough estimates by phone or email for standard alterations.

Simple alterations (a single hem, a zipper replacement) are typically ready in 3–5 business days. More complex work — suit tailoring, structural resizing, or bridal alterations — takes longer and is discussed at the fitting. Rush service is available for time-sensitive needs.

Walk-ins are welcome for most alteration consultations and drop-offs. For wedding gown fittings, we recommend calling ahead to ensure our head tailor is available and to give the fitting adequate time. Simple items like trouser hems or dress zippers can be assessed on a walk-in basis.

Yes. We have extensive experience with designer garments and vintage pieces. We assess each garment carefully before beginning and will always advise you honestly if a specific alteration carries any risk to the garment. We never begin work on valuable pieces without your full understanding and agreement.

Ideally 3–4 months before your wedding date. This allows adequate time for multiple fittings, any adjustments after the first fitting, and ensures you are not rushed. We can work with tighter timelines, but earlier is always better for bridal alterations.
